Grand Challenge Success

Imorphics have won two recent MICCAI Grand Challenge competitions in segmentation of knee bone and cartilage (SKI10) and prostate (PROMISE 12) against leading commercial and academic groups.

Over the last few years the medical image computing community has developed a program of ‘Grand Challenges’ designed to provide a fair comparison between algorithms which address a variety of medical image quantitative problems including segmentation, registration and detection.

Competing algorithms are tested live and concurrently at the MICCAI conference on a previously unseen dataset, thereby giving a fair comparison of realistic clinical performance.
