Brain Surgery

Deep brain surgery is becoming more common for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, and for direct delivery of drugs into the brain.

Accurate and consistent segmentation of al of the major brain regions of the sub-cortex is required, both for accurate placement of tools or electrodes, but also for trajectory planning. Imorphics’ models of the sub-cortical brain, including the ventricles are in use today for these applications.
